This session will highlight how one elementary school used PBIS systems to create a positive culture around attendance while engaging both students and families. Presenters will share practical strategies including incentive structures, family engagement ideas, and data tracking methods that helped increase attendance and strengthen school climate. Participants will leave with ready-to-implement ideas and tools that can be adapted for their own schools and grade levels.

Stories are one of the most powerful tools for learning. In this session, participants will explore how storytelling can transform any classroom into a space where students not only learn content but also develop the qualities of a Portrait of a Graduate. Through immersive narratives, character-driven historical moments, and reflective discussion, students practice empathy, critical thinking, communication, adaptability, and confidence. Attendees will see practical examples of how historical storytelling increases engagement while intentionally developing character and leadership skills. This is not just for history teachers.
